Platted in 1887, the peaceful village of Dunning is nestled in a valley between the Middle Loup River and the Dismal River in Blaine County, where Scenic Byways/Highways 91 & 2 meet.   Our outlying area is made up of many family ranches, some of which have been in the same family for several generations.   The 109 wonderful folk who live here say it is like stepping back in time to a simpler, more peaceful day.

Taylor, NE

The beautiful village of Taylor is the Loup County seat. It is built around a city park, playground equipment, gazebo, picnic tables & public restrooms. High school students & teachers have made national news with their ‘anti-tobacco’ campaigns, city improvement and community involvement projects.

This small “can-do” community maintains a ‘tourist park’ for campers, a historical museum, a 1925 Gasoline station as an information center and is in the process of restoring a 3-story, Victorian style hotel. Each August, volunteers work together to produce the “Loup County World’s Fair”
